New Orleans Catering

Third Wheel is a New Orleans pop-up kitchen and tiny farm. Every event we cater gets its own menu. Weddings, wedding brunches, private dinners, office parties, holiday tables — tell us what you’re planning and we’ll cook for it.

We cook everything from scratch, with what’s in season from local growers and our own backyard.

FAQ

Do you have a standard menu?

No — every event gets its own menu. The sample menus above are from real events; use them to show us what you like.

What kinds of events do you cater?

Weddings and wedding brunches, rehearsal dinners, private dinners, birthdays and celebrations, office and holiday parties.

Where do you serve?

We’re based in New Orleans and mostly serve the New Orleans area. Farther out, ask.

What does it cost?

Every menu is custom, so quotes are too — headcount, menu, and service style set the price. Our minimum is $500. Share your budget in the form and we’ll build to it.

What do you bring, and what do we need to provide?

We bring the food and everything it takes to serve it — servingware, serving utensils, and tables for the spread if the venue doesn’t have them. Place settings come from your side: plates, utensils, napkins, and tablecloths, usually through the venue or a rental company. Need help sourcing rentals? Ask — we can point you in the right direction.

Can you handle dietary restrictions?

Yes — vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes show up on most of our menus anyway. Note any allergies in the form and we’ll plan around them.

How far in advance should I book?

Sooner is better, especially for weddings and big events. Once we hear from you, you’ll have a first menu to react to within a week or two. Simpler menus can move faster — if you’re short on time, just ask.

Do you do tastings?

For weddings, yes — above a minimum spend. Ask when you inquire.

What about drinks?

Yes — custom cocktail menus and bar programs too. Mention it in the form.

When will we hear back?

The form below comes straight to us. We’ll get back to you within two days.

Feeding little ones too? Ask us about our kids’ menu! It adds on to any package.

A total dollar amount or per-person works — and note we have a $500 minimum.
Tell us as much as you'd like, including any requests for your menu or service style.
If you know: is there a kitchen or outdoor cooking space at the venue?
